Dr. Frohwein received his medical degree
from Hahnemann University School of Medicine,
Philadelphia, PA., in 1988 where he remained
for his Internal Medicine Residency. After
completing a cardiology fellowship at
Emory University School of Medicine in
1993, Dr. Frohwein remained at Emory as
an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology)
and a staff cardiologist at the Emory
Clinic, DeKalb Medical Center and the
VA Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. At Emory
he concentrated on clinical cardiovascular
practice and specialized in cardiovascular
imaging, specifically cardiovascular Ultrasound,
MRI and Computed Tomographic Imaging.
At Saint Joseph’s
he has continued building a strong clinical
cardiovascular practice while continuing
his expertise in the field of cardiovascular
imaging. He recently co-authored "Cardiovascular
Magnetic Resonance: Established and Emerging
Applications," a standard reference
for cardiovascular MRI. Additionally,
Dr. Frohwein, as a cardiovascular medical
director, has been instrumental in directing
several cardiovascular MRI/CT outpatient
imaging centers in Atlanta.
Dr. Frohwein is a diplomate
of the American Board of Internal Medicine
and the American Board of Internal Medicine
Specialty Boards in Cardiovascular Diseases.
He is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular
MRI, a fellow in the American College
of Cardiology, a council member of the
American Heart Association and an associate
member of the American College of Physicians.
